What training methods do you use?

I am committed to using humane, force-free, and effective dog training methods that are both easy to understand and enjoyable for you and your dog. In other words, I use positive reinforcement (such as food and play) to increase desired behaviors and when necessary, remove other reinforcers (such as attention and freedom) to decrease those behaviors that are not desired. I do not use any type of pain, fear, force, or intimidation when working with dogs. 

Are you qualified to train my dog?

This is a wonderful question! And the answer is yes! I have taken it upon myself to pursue a formal education and certification in dog training. You can learn more about my credentials here

Are you currently accepting new clients?

As of 2022 I am only accepting new private training and board and train clients. My adventures are currently at capacity. Please reach out if you would like to be added to my waitlist or if you’d like a referral to another local doggy business.

What is your payment policy?

Payment is due at the time of service. For adventure clients, I invoice at the beginning of each month for the entire month. If you are interested in training support for your dog, but are worried about the financial aspect, please reach out to me. I am committed to the Portland dog community and would be happy to discuss payment options.

I accept cash, check, PayPal, and Venmo . 

What is your cancellation policy?

Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel an appointment or if your dog is unable to attend their scheduled adventure. Payments will not be refunded if you cancel same-day. If you cancel in advance, I'm happy to reschedule for a different available day, or apply the credit to your next invoice. If I have to cancel your dog's scheduled adventure due to an emergency or severe weather conditions, your dog will receive a make-up adventure or credit.

Do you offer pet sitting or regular dog walking?

I do not currently provide pet-sitting or private dog-walking services. Exceptions may be made for pre-existing clients only.
